David A. Stevens, Ed.D. – Executive Director

David is a Developmental Psychologist and Cognitive Scientist who has dedicated his career to the study, design, implementation and evaluation of interventions that improve cognitive abilities. His work is based on the hypothesis that children identified with learning difficulties or special needs often have underdeveloped abilities that contribute to academic and social frustration and that the most profitable means to improve these situations is by helping the child to develop their areas of weakness.

David is the designer of three educational software programs; Lexia Cross-Trainer Visual Spatial, Lexia Cross-Trainer Logical Reasoning, and Symphony Math. His research and technology design efforts have been supported by $2 million in federal funding. David is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Cognitive Science Society, and the American Educational Research Association.
